Just a goal...

One of my New Year's resolution was to try to have a healthy lifestyle. At first this was a pure idea, without a single plan to actually achieve this goal. I was just thinking this year I will do this, I will pay more attention to my life and try to have a healthy one, but without a proper plan in order to take action, that's just what it was: an idea.

At first I started to eat more fruits and vegetables, trying to cut down on meat as much as possible. I wanted to try the Blogilates' 28- Day Reset Challenge, but I had no motivation to stick to it. I also tried her 2020 Challenge, but I lasted for one week. To add on my attempts, I was also planning my meals for school, but then the isolation because of the covid-19 came.

The isolation period had a successful outcome. I started to do a couple workouts per week, I was eating better, healthier, where fruits and vegetables were an important part of my meals, I started to read more and I felt I was going in the right direction.

Now I actually feel I am on the right path, struggling with achieving this goal, but feeling more and more ambitious and persevering. At the moment I try to stick to the workout programs by Chloe Ting, to monitor what I eat (in order to feel good), to read more, to socialize, to have a routine and actually have a healthy lifestyle.

Even though I have some slips where I am not in the mood of working out, or sometimes I crave not-so-healthy food, or feel down in the dumps, I try to motivate myself and embrace these slips because we are human beings, and we are not made to be perfect.

From this journey (which is far from being over) I learnt that you should always listen to your body, because it knows what's best for you, to not lose hope if you sometimes feel like giving up and to always have a positive look on things.
